We recommend customers have a key safe, particularly if they do not have an emergency contact who lives within 30 minutes travel time that can come to their assistance when needed.

We can supply a Supra C500 Pro KeySafe™ with your personal alarm order:

The Supra C500 Pro KeySafe™ is the original Police accredited key safe and holds the title of being 'as secure as your front door'.
It can be fitted to any brick built or concrete external wall, outhouse or garage.
The key safe is designed to hold up to three Yale-type or one deadlock key.
It has an easy push keypad, a tough removable waterproof rubber cover.
The key safe is built using heavy gauge, stainless steel and a zinc alloy shell with a double wall construction for strength.

Please ensure you have a spare key available to store in your key safe.

If you order the Classic Personal Alarm with installation, we will also fit your key safe for you at no extra charge.

Share your key safe code with us, so there is always a way to get help to you, whenever you need it.

The key safe can only be opened using the unique four digit code chosen by you.

The only people who know that code – and can get to the keys – will be you, your emergency contacts and us.

We will only give the code to the emergency services if we call them on your behalf and you’re unable to get to the door.

Do I need a key safe to use the personal alarm service?

No, although we recommend you have either two keyholders or a key safe. A keyholder is someone who has keys to your home, lives within 30 minutes and can come to your assistance if needed. This means there is always a way to get help to you, whenever you need it. We can supply a key safe when you order your personal alarm.

How do I add a key safe to my personal alarm order?

If you are ordering a personal alarm online then you can add a key safe to your package. If you are ordering by telephone then just let us know when you call 0800 085 7371.

Do I have to use a key safe provided by you?

No. Many of our customers will already have a key safe and do not need to purchase one from us.

What should I do if I change my key safe code?

If you change your key safe code then simply give us a call on 0800 085 7371 so we can update our records. We rely on this information being correct so we can arrange assistance for you if you need it.

Where should a key safe be fitted?

We recommend you choose a position that is out of easy sight from passers-by. It can only be fitted to an external wall, not an internal one, and the wall must be made of brick or concrete.

How do I fit the key safe?

What do I need to fit the key safe?

To fit the key safe yourself you will need: a power drill and 5mm drill bit suitable for masonry, T30 Torx screwdriver and a pencil to mark your holes for drilling. You must also have a spare key ready to store in your key safe.

Can the key safe be fitted to an internal wall?

Sorry, a key safe can only be fitted to a brick built external wall, outhouse or garage.

Can you fit the key safe for me?

We offer an installation service if you order the In-home Classic Personal Alarm. If you’ve ordered a key safe from us, we'll arrange for a Telecare Consultant to fit that at the same time. They will show you how to use the personal alarm and key safe and ensure the personal alarm is fully registered with our Emergency Response Team.

What size is the key safe?

The approximate external measurements are:

Who should I ask to be my keyholders?

You should nominate friends, family or neighbours who live at a separate address, no more than a 30 minute drive from you. Ideally they should have a set of keys to your home, or failing that, the code to your key safe if you have one. We do ask that they have their own telephone so we can get hold of them whenever you need us to.

Who do I tell if anything changes?

If you change your address, telephone number or there are changes to your medical conditions or keyholders contact information, it’s important to tell us straightaway. We rely on this information being correct so we can arrange assistance for you if you need it. Please call Customer Services on 0800 085 7310 and speak to one of our team.

Available with Classic Personal Alarm when you order online or by telephone.

Our personal alarms are easy to set up. However, some customers prefer someone to set up their alarm for them.

When you order our installation service, we will call you within two weeks to arrange a suitable time for the installation.

Our Telecare Consultant will answer any questions you have and make sure you are happy with the personal alarm system.

They’ll install the alarm, show you how to use it and do a range test around your home and garden, testing the connections to the Emergency Resolution Team.

The Telecare Consultant will also fit your key safe, if you have ordered one.
