Our installation service is designed for people who want the reassurance of having their personal alarm service installed, set up and tested by one of our professional Telecare Consultants.

If you have ordered a key safe, they will also fit this for you at no extra charge.

How our installation service works

Choose a convenient time and date for the installation. If you or your family have any questions about our personal alarm service, the Telecare Consultant will be happy to answer them.

When you order our installation service, we will call you within one working day to arrange a suitable time for the installation.

There are morning or afternoon appointments and the alarm can normally be installed within five working days.

Our Telecare Consultant will bring everything with them so you don't need to wait in for a delivery. They will answer any questions you have and make sure you are happy with the system.

They’ll install the alarm, show you how to use it and do a range test around your house and garden, testing the connections to the Emergency Resolution Team.

Most of our customers don't need to pay VAT on their personal alarms if they, or the person they are buying the alarm for, have a condition that requires regular medication or are registered disabled. VAT exemption also covers the installation service.

Our installation service is available for addresses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland for in-home personal alarms.

Unfortunately, an installation service cannot be provided to customers in Scotland, Isle of Man, the Scilly Islands or the Channel Islands.

Key safe installation

A key safe is a secure, weatherproof box that allows you to keep a set of keys outside your home.

We recommend customers have a key safe, particularly if they do not have an emergency contact who lives within 30 minutes travel time that can come to their assistance when needed.

If you order a key safe and installation, the Telecare Consultant will also bring the key safe and fit that for you at the same time.

  • Can you set up or install my order for me?

    Our personal alarms are easy to set up and we provide clear instructions with your order. Some customers prefer us to set up and test the equipment for them and an installation option is available when you order online or by phone. We’ll arrange a time and date for the installation and bring your order with us so you won’t receive a delivery. We’ll set up your equipment, test the service and show you how it works. Installation can normally be arranged within 5 working days of receiving your order and we offer morning and afternoon appointments.

    If you order a key safe, please have a spare key ready to store in it.

    Unfortunately, an installation service cannot be provided to customers in Scotland, Isle of Man, the Scilly Islands or the Channel Islands.

  • Can you fit my key safe for me?

    Yes. If you order a key safe with your personal alarm, add the installation service to your order and we will set up both for you. Please have a spare key ready to store in your key safe.

  • How much does installation cost?

    The service costs an additional £99 (£118.80 including VAT).

  • Can I order installation after I have received my alarm or key safe?

    If you have any problems setting up your equipment, our Customer Services Team will be happy to guide you through the process. You can call our Customer Service Team on 0800 085 7371.

  • What does the installation service include?

    One of our team will visit your home and bring your order and all the equipment they need to set it up. They will set up your personal alarm, and any other items you ordered such as a key safe or sensors.   • How long does the installation take?

    It depends on what you have ordered but typically a personal alarm can be set up, tested and demonstrated in 1 – 2 hours.

  • Is the installation service available throughout the UK?

    Our installation service is available for addresses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  Unfortunately, we cannot provide an installation service to customers in Scotland, Isle of Man or the Isles of Scilly.
