How to pay for your subscription

The subscription for the monitoring service is paid by Direct Debit.

1. Click Buy Now to choose the monthly or annual subscription plan.

2. You can choose how you would like to pay the set-up cost and first subscription payment.

You can either pay by debit/credit card and set-up the Direct Debit instruction later. Or you can choose to include the set-up cost in your first Direct Debit payment.

3. Once your order is confirmed, please complete the Direct Debit form.

4. Your confirmation email will also include a link to the Direct Debit form in case you, or the person paying the Direct Debit, are unable to complete the form immediately.

  • What’s included in my subscription?

    The subscription includes 24-hour monitoring by our Emergency Resolution team. You can be confident that your alarm calls will be answered any time of the day or night, 365 days of the year. 

    There are no hidden costs or SIM charges. Subscription is collected by Direct Debit. 

    Also included is a 12 month equipment warranty and we offer a 30-day money back guarantee.

  • Are there are any special requirements to use the Out-and-About Classic GPS alarm?

    No, we’ll provide all the equipment with your order, although you will need a mobile signal to use the alarm. We recommend that you let us know of any emergency contacts we should call should you need assistance. If you have a key safe, we recommend that you provide us with the location and key safe code. We will only share this information with your emergency contacts or emergency services so that they can access your property quickly and conveniently if required.

  • Do I own the Out-and-About Classic GPS personal alarm?

    Yes. The subscription is for the alarm monitoring service. If the Out-and-About Classic GPS personal alarm is lost or damaged, you would need to order a replacement to continue benefiting from the 24 hour monitored alarm service.

  • How can I view the GPS device’s location?

    You will be able to logon to a secure website to view the current GPS device location and location history. 

  • Who can view the GPS device's location?

    Our Emergency Resolution team can view the GPS location and use this information to direct appropriate help to you quickly. You are in control of whether family or friends can logon to the website to view the GPS device location. You could choose close family or no-one, it's up to you.

  • What size is the alarm pendant?

    The Out-and-About Classic GPS alarm pendant measures 60mm x 44mm (at the widest point) x 14mm and weighs just 40 grams. It is small and lightweight and can be carried in a pocket, as a key fob, worn as a pendant or put in a bag. 

  • How long does it take to charge the Out-and-About Classic GPS pendant?

    It takes approximately 8 hours to fully charge the pendant from no charge. Charging time is reduced if the pendant is already partially charged.

  • Does the pendant work from any location?

    The multi-network SIM provides the highest level of mobile coverage by accessing all UK mobile networks to find the strongest signal. Due to the proximity of masts or buildings there may occasionally be black spots, although this is true of all mobile devices. The GPS tracking is more accurate when the device is outdoors. The SIM provides unlimited use within the UK and roams all UK networks. There is no additional charge for use throughout the EU.

  • Do I need a telephone landline to use the Out-and-About Classic GPS Alarm?

    No, it uses a multi-network SIM and does not need to be connected to a telephone landline. This makes it perfect for customers that don't have a home phone or want reassurance they can get help when they are out and about at the touch of a button.

  • Do I need to pay VAT on my order?

    If you, or the person you are buying the alarm for, have a condition that requires regular medication, are chronically sick or are registered disabled then you may be eligible for VAT exemption.

    For the purposes of the VAT relief, you are chronically sick or disabled if you have a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term and substantial adverse effect upon your ability to carry out everyday activities, if you have a condition that the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes, or you have a terminal illness.

    When ordering online, select the VAT exemption option at checkout. You’ll be asked to describe why you are eligible for VAT exemption before you complete your payment.

  • How do I set-up the Direct Debit subscription?

    You can set-up the Direct Debit when you order online. Either choose to pay the set-up cost and first subscription payment by debit/credit card and complete the Direct Debit instruction later. Or you can choose to include the set-up cost in your first Direct Debit payment.

    You’ll be asked to complete the Direct Debit instruction form once you have submitted your order online. Your confirmation email will also include a link to the Direct Debit form in case you, or the person paying the Direct Debit, are unable to complete the form immediately.

    If ordering by telephone then the Direct Debit instruction will be set-up over the phone with you by one of our sales advisors.

  • What if I want to the set-up costs and someone else pay the subscription?

    No problem! Many of our customers order on behalf of family members who want to pay the subscription themselves. Simply pay by debit/credit card online for the set-up and first subscription payment. Your confirmation email will include a link to the Direct Debit instruction. The person who will be paying the subscription can use this link to complete the Direct Debit instruction or call our Customer Services team, 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday on 0800 085 7371.
