Taking Care Sense is a proactive system that monitors activity in the home as well as low temperature extremes.
We'll raise the alarm when we're notified of a substantial change to the normal pattern of behaviour. For example, if your loved ones are not out of bed and making breakfast as they do normally, the elderly monitoring system will alert us.
Taking Care Sense provides reassurance if:
- You do not live close by or cannot visit them every day.
- Your parents are very independent and do not want to worry you, but you want peace of mind when you’re not with them.
- You can also receive a weekly email summary to help manage your loved one’s wellbeing by reviewing changes in their activity and room temperature in the kitchen.
With the cost of living rising, older people at risk of fuel poverty may switch their heating off in colder months to save money, putting themselves in danger.
Our home monitoring system for elderly people senses low temperatures so if the use of heating is being reduced, this can be flagged to family members.
The first 48 hours it’s in someone’s kitchen, it maps out their typical level of activity, so every time they boil a kettle, wash the dishes or open a window that event is picked up through the device. If that behaviour deviates, the system will send an alert out.
