Kaya has worked with us for almost three years in the Marketing team. She loves to take pictures of our products and film our customers. She adores her lovely and supportive team and cherishes working for Taking care because one of the main values of the company is 'Caring'.
We asked Kaya to share what it is like to work at Taking Care.
What's a typical day for you at Taking Care?
I organise any product photo or video shoots, create the content, and then edit the pictures and videos to be ready for use. At the moment, I'm working on creating more video content to go with our 'Resource and Advice' online magazine and so I spend a lot of my time planning how the videos will look, creating scripts or subtitles and other graphics, recording voiceovers for the videos and then editing it all together to create the finished video.
If I had to describe our workplace in one word, it would be 'fun'.

How does your job benefit the customers?
I hope the images and videos I create help our customers better understand and set up our products quickly. I also hope they feel inspired by the imagery of our brand.
What do you find most challenging and rewarding about your role?
The most challenging thing about my job is when we have new personal alarms or home monitoring systems coming out, and we have to create lots of new content very quickly.
Do you remember your first day at Taking Care?
I remember it very clearly as I started on my birthday. It was a good day, thrown straight into the deep end, but I remember thinking how friendly everyone was. Nothing much has changed, except now there are even more nice people working there, and I'm a few years older 😊
What do you love to do aside from work?
Whenever I am free, I love to spend days out with my kids.
