Taking Care is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting new service and partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council and North Tees and Hartlepool Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Hartlepool Technology for Care provides telecare services monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with support from Taking Care’s expert UK-based Emergency Resolution Centre. The clear focus of this new service is to empower Hartlepool residents to live safely and more independently in their own homes for as long as possible.
As part of the Hartlepool Technology for Care service, Hartlepool residents are now also able to access a much wider range of the latest monitored alarm and smart home sensor equipment and be guided to the most appropriate solution to their individual needs. The range of monitored technology includes devices that can be used by residents at home or out-and-about, with fall detection capability and 24/7 alarm monitoring to provide reassurance and peace of mind for both users of the service and their families.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council and North Tees and Hartlepool Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in this exciting new service. Hartlepool Technology for Care is a truly innovative outcome-based service, that is focused on empowering independent living and supporting older residents in the Hartlepool area to live happy and healthy lives in their own homes.

Steve Gates, Managing Director, Taking Care said:
“Taking Care applaud support for such a forward-thinking service, which is totally in-line with our ethos of working with our corporate partners to provide more co-produced, proactive, and personalised Technology Enabled Care solutions for their service users. The process of joining the partnership has been an open and productive relationship and we are greatly looking forward to working together in the future.”
To support the smooth transition of the new service with both Hartlepool Borough Council care prescribers and residents, Taking Care hosted several drop-in sessions for both social care and health professionals and the wider Hartlepool community. Taking Care staff were on hand throughout to demonstrate the technology and to answer any questions from attendees.
Jill Harrison, Hartlepool Borough Council’s Director of Adult and Community-Based Services, said:
“We are very proud of the care we provide to many hundreds of people in Hartlepool through this service, helping them to live safely and independently at home with the reassurance that, if something happens, help is at hand at just the touch of a button.
Together with our existing partner North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, we’re really excited to welcome Taking Care to our partnership and to unveil Hartlepool Technology for Care and its much wider range of state-of-the-art technical support.”
