The Hyde Group extends contract
Taking Care partnered with The Hyde Group back in August 2021 to become their single strategic 24/7 monitoring partner for their residents. Since then, we’ve been working in close collaboration with Hyde to advise and support them as they move forward in their digital journey with us. In fact, our team had been working with Hyde for over 30 years as Chichester Care Line prior to Taking Care acquiring the business in 2019.
"Working with Taking Care is always a pleasure, and it was
an easy decision for us to extend the contract with them."James Barr

The benefits of collaborative partnership
Our relationship with Hyde has been growing from strength to strength during this time and both James Barr and the team at Hyde are amazingly collaborative and easy to work with. It’s great to see that this feeling is mutual, as we’ve been rewarded with both a contract extension and some glowing feedback.
At Hyde, we’re delighted to extend our partnership with Taking Care. The first four years have been a huge success, with Taking Care delivering a responsive and customer-focused service to our residents across our Later Living and Supported Housing schemes.
We receive all the data we need to ensure seamless handovers as our colleagues return to work at 9am each weekday, along with business assurance thanks to Taking Care’s overnight UAC tests to remotely ensure that our telecare equipment is functioning correctly."James Barr

One 24-hour, highly responsive monitoring partner
The initial contract brief from Hyde was clear and it was a partnership Taking Care were exited to support. Despite Hyde’s existing monitoring service being functional and well established, Hyde wanted to improve the process, make it more streamlined, efficient, and cost effective for both their residents and the organisation.
"Taking Care have supported us on our digital journey and have been ever-present as we navigate the UK digital switch to VoIP and GSM-based solutions. Their industry knowledge and proactive approach, give us confidence that we’re working with a trusted and innovative partner.
At every step of the digital journey, Taking Care have been at our side, collaborating with the system manufacturers and installers to help us achieve our digital goals. We also have an account manager at Taking Care who is always understanding, responsive and engaged with our colleagues and business needs."James Barr

As part of this strategic move Hyde made the decision to reduce their five telecare monitoring suppliers and consolidate their service with one highly responsive, 24-hour monitoring service provider. Taking Care has worked closely with Hyde’s team to deliver on their primary objectives which included:
- Enhance safety and continuity of service for their residents
- Ensure compatibility and the most appropriate choice of technology with the existing infrastructure and the transition to a new digital telecare system in mind
- Support a smooth resident and staff adoption of the initial onboarding and A2D transition
- Maintain robust data security and privacy measures to protect resident data and comply with regulatory requirements
