Royal British Legion celebrates 100 years of supporting the Armed Forces community

May 17, 2021 • 1 min read

The 15th May saw the Royal British Legion celebrate 100 years of supporting veterans and the Armed Forces community. From providing expert advice and guidance, to recovery and rehabilitation, through to transitioning to civilian life – the charity is there to help provide lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.

As a part of the Royal British Legion’s Centenary, they are launching Cooking With Heroes: The Royal British Legion Centenary Cookbook. Published by St James’s House, this beautifully designed hardback book is a unique way of highlighting the contribution made by the Royal British Legion and by the British Armed Forces over the years.

The Royal British Legion is a symbol of hope for the Armed Forces community, and Taking Care is incredibly proud to be supporting the charity as an official sponsor of its Centenary Cookbook.

With many of our customers being ex-serving personnel, or family members of ex-serving personnel, we understand just how important support from charities and services such as the Royal British Legion is. Our wish in sponsoring the Centenary Cookbook is to help the courageous men and women who have served our country access the health, finances and wellbeing they deserve.

The Cookbook will be used to raise money for this wonderful charity and enable it to keep providing life-changing support to the Armed Forces community.

The book will be published in May 2021, and is already available to pre-order online at stjamess.org.
