Social Care Awards

For millions of vulnerable and older adults across the world, care and support services provided by individuals and companies operating within the social care sector are crucial to their ability to live, achieve and maintain a quality and fulfilling lifestyle.

Companies in the TEC (Technology Enabled Care) sector have a pertinent role to play when talking about helping vulnerable and older people live comfortable and safely in their own homes for longer.

It is imperative that those committed to delivering social care services ensure that they do so to an outstanding level and the Social Care Awards, hosted by Global Health & Pharma, recognises and rewards those who go that extra mile to help and protect our most vulnerable members of society.

That's why we're delighted to have won Best Elderly Personal Alarm Specialist.

Steve Gates, Managing Director at Taking Care said:

“We are genuinely delighted to receive this recognition. Our teams are involved in providing potentially life-saving support for our customers on a day-to-day basis and therefore it’s genuinely humbling to be recognised as the highest quality provider of these services in the UK.”

This award comes after what has been a particularly challenging year, especially for vulnerable and older adults.

Our 24/7 Emergency Response has remained unaffected throughout the pandemic, ensuring customers have a much-needed lifeline at a time when they need it most.

Whilst COVID-19 is not the only illness that puts older people and others at risk every day, it has truly the importance of technology enabled care in ensuring the safety, health and wellbeing of older and vulnerable adults, now and in the future.

In response to these insights, we have been working hard to meet customer’s needs and deliver the best available solutions.

Jessie Wilson, Awards Executive at GHP News said:

“This year has been one of the toughest 12-months that the Social Care industry has had to face. As the COVID-19 pandemic gripped the world, it is the front line Health and Social Care Workers who have valiantly guided our communities safely through this pandemic by offering care and support where others could not.”

“It goes without saying that this is a fantastic achievement for Taking Care and is a true reflection of all of their hard work and driven determination paying off.”

Last year, we launched several new monitored alarm solutions such as Taking Care Anywhere, a stylish GPS fall detector that works both in the home and out and about and providing freedom to the wearer that is unrivalled by traditional personal alarms.

In February this year, we launched an advanced package of smart home sensors, with powerful AI (artificial intelligence) driven user insights that helps prevent problems before they occur. This focus on customer led innovation helps us to deliver products and services that their customers want and need.
