Helping you remain independent and healthy for longer
Our Emergency Resolution Team work hard to help personal alarm customers remain independent and healthy for longer.
In 2023, we answered over 1.1 million alarm calls and resolved over 49,900 emergencies. Our Emergency Resolution Team work 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, including Christmas Day and New Year's Day, to ensure no alarm call goes unanswered.
In 2023, we handled over 2,000 alarm calls on Christmas Day.
Thanks to the dedication of our Emergency Resolution Team, the average alarm call answer time was 20 seconds; quicker than many other personal alarm providers and faster than 999 calls.
We are always looking at ways to improve our service and act on feedback from customers. In 2023, we launched a new and improved personal alarm watch and 4G Taking Care Anywhere personal alarm pendant.
We also continued to invest in our infrastructure and training to ensure we deliver the best possible service. Once again, we achieved full accreditation for our monitoring services under the TSA Quality Standards Framework (QSF) . Our proactive approach to quality assurance was reflected in achieving ISO9001 accreditation in 2023.
We were able to resolve 95% of personal alarm calls without calling the emergency services. Our service has helped protect the NHS, resulting in an estimated saving of over £53 million.1

Our Emergency Resolution Team is one of the major reasons why our range of personal alarms offer true peace of mind to many older and vulnerable people and their loved ones.
1. NHS savings calculated using internal statistics from our Emergency Resolution Centres including data based on calls resolved without emergency service intervention, and publicly available NHS costs and length of hospital stay for acute care. Number of alarm calls excludes calls from door, warden, smoke tests and fault sources.
