Personal Alarms for the Elderly

Personal alarms for the elderly

PPP Taking Care has been providing personal alarm services for more than 30 years. Since 2008 alone, we have helped 170,000 people stay safe in their homes, supporting customers and their families across the UK.

Our personal alarms have helped elderly people live independently in their own homes for longer.

We are the only personal alarm provider approved by Age UK and choosing an Age Co personal alarm supports their charitable work and your loved one's independence.

How a personal alarm can help your elderly loved ones

1. Get help fast in any emergency

A personal alarm will help your loved ones feel confident and stay safe in their own homes for longer. One of the most important benefits of a personal alarm is that your loved ones can get help quickly at the press of a button. The highly trained staff at our three UK based Emergency Resolution Centres are available 24/7 to answer emergency calls.

We run an Alzheimer's Society's Dementia Friends training programme and are accredited by the Telecare Services Association so you can be confident that we provide the best possible response in an emergency.

Our personal alarms can prove lifesaving should your elderly loved ones fall or have an accident at home. Without a personal alarm an elderly person could be lying on the floor for hours or days if they live alone.

2. Discreet and easy to use alarm pendant

Our Age Co alarm pendant can be worn around the neck or wrist so it is easily accessible in an emergency.

The alarm pendants are reliable and easy to use with one big button to press. They are designed to be comfortable and discreet so they can be worn 24 hours a day.

The pendants are designed to fit around your loved ones life and work in the home and the garden. They are water resistant so they can be worn in the bath or shower where falls are most likely to happen.

There is also no need to worry about charging the pendant as it has a 5-year battery life.

For extra support, we have fall sensors for the elderly that will automatically call us when a fall is detected.

3. Supporting the elderly remain independent at home

Personal alarms provide freedom to elderly individuals and allows them to live in the comfort of their own homes for longer. What's more, the base unit and pendant is easy to use and reliable.

Elderly people can keep their independence and embrace a healthier and more active lifestyle. For some elderly people, a personal alarm is the alternative to going into a care home or receiving care at home. The 24/7 monitoring gives them the security they need to feel confident and safe, so they are able to stay at home for longer where they feel most comfortable.

3. Peace of mind for you and your family

Our personal alarm system takes away the worry and concern family and friends may have about their elderly loved ones. We are audited annually by the Telecare Services Association, ensuring your loved ones receive the expert help you and your family deserve.

The service can be enhanced by adding a key safefall detector and medical helpline for reassurance and expert support.
