Taking Care is delighted to announce a new partnership with Peabody, one of the UK’s largest housing associations, to enhance emergency alarm monitoring services for residents across London and the South East. Through the partnership, Taking Care will provide a dedicated 24/7 monitoring service, helping residents access support whenever it is needed while supporting Peabody’s transition to a fully digital telecare future.
Through the partnership, residents will have access to Taking Care’s dedicated 24/7 Emergency Resolution Centre service, ensuring alarm calls are responded to quickly and appropriately. By combining trusted technology with compassionate support, the service will help residents live safely and independently, while providing reassurance to families and loved ones.
Supporting residents across London and the South East
Founded in 1862, Peabody is one of the UK’s oldest and largest housing associations, responsible for more than 109,000 homes across London and the home counties. With over 220,000 residents, Peabody also supports approximately 25,000 vulnerable people. Through its Later Living, specialist and Care and Support services, Peabody is committed to helping people live independently, safely and with confidence, while creating communities where residents can flourish.
Enabling a digital future for telecare
The partnership also supports Peabody’s wider digital transformation programme. As the organisation continues its transition from analogue to digital telecare technology, Taking Care will deliver a future-ready monitoring service capable of supporting connected devices, digital alarm systems and evolving resident needs. Together, we will be working to create a more resilient, responsive and innovative service that not only meets today’s needs but is designed to support residents long into the future.
Shared commitment to independence and wellbeing
Iain Shaw, Director of Care and Support Housing at Peabody said:
“At Peabody, we’re committed to providing high-quality services that help residents live independently for longer. As we continue to modernise our telecare services and prepare for a fully digital future, it was important to select a partner that could support both our current and future needs. Taking Care demonstrated the expertise, innovation and resident-focused approach we’re looking for, and we look forward to working together to deliver an outstanding service.”
Sarah O’Callaghan, Head of Business Development at Taking Care, said:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Peabody at such an important stage in its telecare journey. This partnership is about far more than monitoring alarms. Together, we’re supporting Peabody’s digital transformation journey by delivering a modern, resilient and future-ready service that combines innovative technology with exceptional customer care. We’re excited to work closely with the Peabody team to help residents live safely, independently and confidently in their own homes.”
Our new partnership reflects a shared commitment to combining compassionate support with innovative technology, helping improve resident wellbeing, strengthen independent living and deliver long-term value for Peabody and the communities it serves.
