How do I cancel an alarm call?

If your alarm has gone off by mistake, you can stop the call in the first 15 seconds. While the alarm unit is beeping, simply shake your pendant from side to side until it stops. This will cancel the alert before it’s sent to our Emergency Resolution Team.

You can also cancel the call during the loud pre-alarm by pressing the cancel button on the alarm unit.

How and when should I test my alarm?

We recommend testing your alarm once every quarter. We suggest using a birthday to help remember.

Is my pendant waterproof?

Yes. The pendant is water-resistant up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes (IP68 standard) and can be worn in the bathroom and shower.

How should I wear my pendant?

Your pendant comes in a choice of wearing options of either wrist or neck worn. Your pendant should always be worn on the outside of clothing so it is easy to access in an emergency. Wearing under clothing may prevent the fall alarm from detecting a fall.

What should I do in the event of a fall?

If you experience a significant hard fall, the pendant is equipped with sophisticated fall detection technology and will automatically raise an alert for help.

While every effort is made to detect a significant fall from standing, there are circumstances where your pendant may not automatically activate. If you are able to press the button on your pendant at the same time to activate a call for help to our Emergency Resolution Team then do so.

Our guide to how fall alarms work explains the types of falls that trigger an alarm call.
