We are looking  to recruit a passionate, caring and motivated candidate to join our friendly sales team to help us continue our ambition for growth, and to help people live happy, independent lives with our life saving personal alarm services. As part of the AXA Group, Taking Care provides around the clock support to over 75,000 customers.

The purpose of the role is to effectively process and convert incoming/outgoing warm sales leads through all channels and taking payments as required.

No hard selling is involved; it is very much about matching the needs of the customer and identifying opportunities for other products and/or services.

This role would be suited to someone who has excellent communication and relationship building skills; who is motivated; is used to speaking on the telephone to customers; and has a passion for great levels of customer service. It would be desirable for the candidate to have experience of working with the older generation.

You will need the ability to show empathy and patience towards our customers with an open, friendly attitude. Having experience of a telephone/conversational selling style and having worked in a call centre environment are essential to this role. You will need to be flexible and adapt to changing situations, with good time management skills and the ability to multi-task.

Customer Sales Advisor responsibilities

  • Achieve personal sales target.
  • Contribute to achieve a team conversion rate.
  • Consistently achieve “excellent” call quality.
  • Processing of payments from customers.
  • Order collateral as required for prospective clients and follow up, as per KPIs.
  • Complete all pre-agreed follow up calls.
  • Complete “offline tasks” i.e. mailbox, answerphone, and downloads.
  • Carry out additional or follow up outbound calling as required and follow up any calls from there.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of products and key benefits of each, to ensure customer choice and needs are considered during a sale.
  • Adhere to personal and team KPIs.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English.
  • Previous excellent sales/conversion rates.
  • Able to work as a team to achieve goals.
  • Understanding of and able to work to meet targets/KPIs.
  • Understanding of call quality assessments.
  • Addressing customer concerns to help drive sales.
  • Previous Microsoft Office experience so you are confident in using the packages. Having previously used a CRM database is desirable.
  • An excellent telephone manner and good interpersonal skills are essential to this role.
  • Strong attention to detail skills.
  • Previous sales experience.
  • Able to show empathy towards our vulnerable customers.
  • Ability to embrace change.
  • Desirable would be an understanding of medical terms/conditions.

The role will be subject to a standard DBS check.

 

Salary£22,000 p.a. with OTE additional £2,400 p.a. bonus plus further company performance bonus.

Hours: Staggered Rota    Mon-Fri 8am-6pm and 9am – 5pm on Saturday (35 hours per week).

Once probation and training are completed satisfactorily, there may be the opportunity to work from home on some days.

Location: Our modern offices in Aperture at Pynes Hill, Rydon Lane, Exeter EX2 5SP with free parking. All our offices are Covid 19 secure.

The interview process will be in two stages – the first will be a telephone/Microsoft Teams interview, followed by a face to face or  Microsoft Teams interview.
